Shwmae, Mrs Owen ydw i.
I have worked with various year groups within Cyfarthfa Park Primary. I have been a HLTA in Nursery for 3 years and look forward to working with my Nursery team!
I love spending time with my family and my dog Fred. My hobbies are baking and decorating cakes and walking.
Shwmae, Mr Sawday ydw i. I'm a ALN support staff at Cyfarthfa Park Primary. I have worked in other classes in the infants and junior school. This is my first time that I will be officially working in the Nursery classes, So I am excited for the new adventure.
In my spare time I am either working on my computer rig, programming, or modding. I also love steam trains. I am either building my model train layouts or I am off going to heritage railways when I can.

Our topic this year is ABC Easy as 1, 2, 3. We plan to focus pupils learning around the key concepts:
Resilience, Happiness and Creativity.
In Nursery we are following the non-maintained curriculum, The curriculum recognises that every child is unique and that their development is rapid between birth and five years of age. Central to this curriculum are five key developmental pathways that are fundamental to the learning and development of all young children these are Belonging, Communication, Exploration, Physical Development and Well-being.
Please see the link below.
This term our story is Tedi Twt. Every day we practice learning parts of the story using a text map and physical actions developed by our class. Every day we build on our knowledge of the story by learning the next sentence and over the term each individual becomes more confident at retelling the story orally.
"Children who are read to at home, or who come from an oral tradition of storytelling, embed such patterns without really knowing it, as if some form of linguistic osmosis was at work. At this early stage, it is significant that the child is ‘hearing’ the language. This matters because we learn language by hearing it and then by saying it. So, storytelling and rhyme chanting are powerful aspects of acquiring language patterns that might not be met in everyday talk." Pie Corbett 2008
