Important Days

PE will take place on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon. Please send your child in our school PE kit and outdoor shoes. Starting Monday 28th September, swimming lessons will be every afternoon for 2 weeks.

Reading books will be changed and given out on any day once read. Please listen to your child read regularly and write a comment in their journal so we know they have been listened too. If you feel your child is ready to move up a level, please write a note and we will listen to them in class and re-assess.

Homework will be sent out via Google Classroom every Friday. We will no longer issue weekly spelling tests and Spelling Shed will be utilised daily in class. If you need your child's log in for Classroom please let me know.

Welcome to Year 4!

Autumn Term

We have lots to be excited about this term. Our topic this term is 'Lights, Camera, Action'. Our key concepts are Creativity, Media and Passion and our enquiry question is 'How do you express yourself creatively?'

Shwmae, Mr Hughes ydw i.

This is my second year working at Cyfarthfa Park Primary School and I am really looking forward to the year ahead.

I am a fluent Welsh speaker and love speaking the language.

Outside of school, I love watching and playing football – my favourite team is Cardiff City. I also enjoy spending time with my family and eating tasty food.

My favourite subjects are Physical Education and Mathematics.

I am extremely excited to be teaching Class 11 this year!

I have been working in Cyfarthfa Park Primary for 4 years and excited to be in year 4 for the first time.

I love spending time with my family and walking my 2 dogs Alfie and Winnie. I love to make wax melts and I enjoy spending my weekends on my wax melt stalls.
