Important Days
Important Days
PE will take place on a Monday afternoon. Please send your child in our school PE kit and outdoor shoes. PE will change for 10 weeks whilst the children attend swimming lessons on a FRIDAY afternoon. Post Christmas, PE will return to a Monday afternoon.
Reading books will be changed and given out on any day once read. Please listen to your child read regularly and write a comment in their journal so we know they have been listened too. If you feel your child is ready to move up a level, please write a note and we will listen to them in class and re-assess.
Homework will be sent out via Google Classroom every Friday. We will no longer issue weekly spelling tests and Spelling Shed will be utilised daily in class. If you need your childs log in for Classroom please let me know.

Welcome to Year 4!
Our topic for Autumn term is, 'Lights, Camera, Action'.
This will be a great learning opportunity for our pupils to learn through the area of Expressive Arts and STEM.
Following the new curriculum , we are excited to embrace the new 'Four Purposes' and confident individuals who contribute creatively. We have planned our lessons around 'big ideas' and key principles in each area of learning and are ready to deliver a broad and balanced education!
Our key concepts for this term are : Media, Creativity and Passion, really diving down into the big question ' How do you express yourself?'
We are excited to learn lots about Shakespeare, history of Animation, Modern day remakes, Electricity and Sound, Stop Motion and Theatre experiences.
Please encourage your child's learning by asking them about their day and supporting their wonderful ideas.
We hope we can all work together through this topic, and further afield expressing ourselves creatively.

Our Wonderful Learning Support Assistant - Mrs Davies
This is my 3rd year as an LSA at Cyfarthfa Park Juniors. I love it here ! I have a little girl who is just turning 3. I love spending my time with her and my husband.
My passion is English in particular literature.
I am looking forward to the coming year with class 11.
