Transition to High School

Making the transition from Primary School to High School is a big step for all our Year Six children. 

To make sure you're as prepared as possible, we've created this webpage full of information, resources and other help to make the move into Year Seven as smooth as possible.

Our High Schools

If your child is continuing their education within Merthyr Tydfil, they will be joining one of four possible High Schools.

At Cyfarthfa Park Primary School, our main feeder High School is Cyfarthfa High School. We have strong links with this school, working collaboratively to develop a smooth transition experience for our pupils. 

Transition Resources

Once you've decided where your child will be attending High School you can start preparing them for their transition.

At Cyfarthfa Park Primary School, we spend a great deal of time working with our Year Sixes to answer any questions or assuage any worries about their move into Year Seven.
