Important Days
Spelling words will be given out via Google Classroom every Friday ( please let us know if you have any trouble logging into your child's account).
Spelling tests will take place in class every Friday.
PE will take place on a Friday afternoon. Please send your child in our school PE kit and outdoor shoes.
Reading books will be changed and given out once finished. They can they be returned to school any day.
Welcome to Year 4!
Our topic for Spring term is, 'Lights, Camera, Action'.
This will be a great learning opportunity for our pupils to learn through the area of Expressive Arts and STEM.
Following the new curriculum , we are excited to embrace the new 'Four Purposes' and confident individuals who contribute creatively. We have planned our lessons around 'big ideas' and key principles in each area of learning and are ready to deliver a broad and balanced education!
Our key concepts for this term are : Media, Creativity and Passion, really diving down into the big question ' How do you express yourself?'
We are excited to learn lots about Shakespeare, history of Animation, Modern day remakes, Electricity and Sound, Stop Motion and Theatre experiences.
Please encourage your child's learning by asking them about their day and supporting their wonderful ideas.
We hope we can all work together through this topic, and further afield expressing ourselves creatively.

Shwmae Miss Thomas-Dyer ydw i !
My journey began at this lovely school when I was just a student.I join now as a teacher ready to share my desire of learning and innovative ideas to an already established team. I am incredibly excited to be in year 4 and pleased to share this journey with you all.
In school the subjects I was most passionate about were Art, English Literature and PE. I loved the freedom within these subjects and enjoyed more when being active!
In order to relax I love going to the gym , reading and producing art/illustrations.
