I joined Cyfarthfa Park Primary School in 2023 and I am thoroughly enjoying teaching in year 5. It is a wonderful place to work!
My favourite subjects to teach are Drama and Maths. I love using my creativity and imagination to deliver engaging lessons for my learners.
Outside of school I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy being active by going to the gym and going for long walks!
Our Summer Term Topic is Reach for the stars!!
Through pupil voice, class 14 chose to begin their topic by learning about our solar system. They had so much fun exploring in Techniquest!
And that's a wrap on our Spring Term Topic - Mind, Body and Soul!
Our Autumn Topic was Heroes and Villains: Why is Merthyr so Special
A trip to Cyfarthfa Castle museum for further research into the life and times of the Crawshay family and their ironworkers. Soon we will be writing a biography on Richard Crawshay!
We've some work to do on our presenting skills but the confidence, enthusiasm and willingness is there!
Cyfarthfa Castle - Photos
That's a wrap! We had so much fun taking over Cyfarthfa Castle and sharing all we learned with our families. The children showed great enthusiasm towards their learning and learned lots of new things!

I am currently on maternity leave but I'm staying here so you don't forget about me!
This is my 8th year teaching at Cyfarthfa Park Primary School and it is truly a wonderful place to work. It is lovely to teach such kind, unique and hard working pupils.
I am extremely excited to be teaching in year 5 this year.
I adore seeing other people achieve great things and doing more than they thought they could. It is one of the reasons I became a teacher.
My favourite subjects to teach are Drama, English, RE and PE. I love all things that are active, creative and imaginative and have a real passion for reading and exploring the great outdoors.
Outside of school I love spending time with my family and friends. I had my first child 3 years ago and she is simply magic! We love exploring and going for long walks together as a family.
